Flint and Steel set

These flint striker sets are exactly what you need to make fire using the method shown in my YouTube video.
Each set includes a tin (for storage and making char cloth), two pieces of char, one striker, one chert stone (tested to make sparks with the included striker) and approx 4" of sisal rope for tinder.

Sets are $7. Shipping is $5 for USPS Priority. If you prefer UPS the rate is $10 plus a $5 packaging fee.

anvil block

If you're like me and don't have a square corner anywhere on your anvil, this piece of equipment will come in very handy. It's a block of 2x2 1045 steel that has been heat treated in superquench to give a tough face that isn't particularly brittle. Each block is at least 2" tall (this one is closer to 2.125" tall) and all are welded to a 1" square handle. I've been using mine for almost three years and only have a couple of surface scratches.

These are also handy if you have the radii on your anvil that you like but maybe need something more extreme for a few projects and aren't able (or willing) to change the radius of a section of your anvil.
