This is forged from a single bar of 1/2" square low-carbon steel. The main bar has three twists, the head and foot are forged square. The rivet on the end of the crook is forged from the square bar, then file finished to remove most of the hammer marks and to smooth the transition. Matching felt will be glued to the top of the crook.
